Despite my initial reaction to this album, Ecids debut album is actually pretty good. It did take a couple listens to really appreciate it but now it actually gets quite a bit of play. It’s a seemingly very personal album, and the fact that Ecid wrote and produced this release entirely by himself really shows. I almost feel like I know him on a personal album now. Simply because he’s not afraid to write about his own emotions and experiences. That alone earns this album at least a listen.
As far as style goes, Ecid is right on par with the likes of Okwerds, Mac Lethal, and Noah23 while still maintaining his originality and implanting what I think will turn into a recognizable style that other people will be compared too in the future.
